The Gate
A friend and I met for a drink after work yesterday, sitting among snow piles in the back patio. Our device-capable gloves were not warmth-capable, but the double IPAs, multitude of layers, and conversation kept the cold evening at bay. When I walked in to order my 2nd drink, I had to capture this image of the bar’s interior. The streetlights cast a shadow through the doorframe, the memory of the past somehow crossing with the present. Brave the cold and grab one at your local if you can, so these places will still be around to carry the weight of the day when you walk in, a day not too far into the future.
